With "The Memory" we see clearly a new stepp in the process of maturing of both Flaming Ouroboros and M.O.

While the first releases of the project where seeped in a bright youthfullness and naivity, in "The Memory" we see F.O. thinking deeper, clearly, on a hard path to inviduation. As said by the artists himself, "The birth of ego".

The unfiltered, unchallenges, unmethodical stream-flow like nature of the early releases give way to sublimation, psychic warfare, longing and the dark night of the soul. Make no mistake, the sense of urgency and emotional weight is still present, but it comes through deeper and more knowledgeable mental processes.

A natural progression from Blood and The Tear, however darker in sound. The triumpalism of early FO is substituted by a turmoil of emotion, bittersweet and contemplative. With a lot of influence from the Blazebirth Hall scene, with its hazey and dense riffing, often delivered in a bleak and dissonant way somewhat similar to Sanguine Eagle or Hand of Glory but always more rooted in humane struggle. The biggest novelty soundwise here however are the Ambient elements that are absolutely staggering bringing a moment of calm inward contemplation.
